About

I take AI from an idea to a product people use.

I'm Stefan Nio, co-founder and CTO of Interlinked Global. I work across the whole product: what it should do, how it is built, and where a model belongs in it.

I have done it once end to end. I built bizsec.io, a workspace for Singapore corporate secretary firms, and shipped it to production on my own. Its beta users shaped it.

What I'm looking for.

A role taking AI and agent systems from a promising demo to a product people rely on, at a company of any size. Founding engineer and product engineer are the titles closest to how I work. I would rather own an outcome than one layer of the stack.

Two kinds of work draw me, and at bizsec.io I found them equally rewarding. One is owning a product from a user's problem to something people use, and keeping it running after launch. The other is making the AI inside a product good: using current models and agents where they improve an answer or a decision, and leaving them out where plain code is more reliable.

I work remotely from Australia and will relocate anywhere for the right role.

How I work

Agents write more of the code. I still run the process.

I use coding agents every day. The skill that matters most is still the old one: breaking a problem into small, clear tasks. That is what keeps a product reliable and easy to change, whoever writes the code.

As models improve I hand agents more of the work. What earns that trust is a codebase clean enough for an agent to follow, and checks it can run to prove its own work. A person still reviews every change before it ships, and I cap how much agent work is in flight so the review stays real.

I write down the decisions that matter. bizsec.io has 34 architecture decision records, and two of them reverse earlier ones. The case study walks through both.

  1. Interlinked Global

    Co-founder & CTO

Aug 2025 to now · Remote from Australia

I lead research, development, and product, building AI systems for businesses across Southeast Asia.

    • Built bizsec.io, a multi-tenant platform for Singapore corporate secretary firms, and shipped it to production on my own.
    • Architected our AI readiness product and our organisational imaging platform, including an agent system on AWS Bedrock with Claude, seven specialised tools, and a Neo4j knowledge graph.
    • Set the technical direction and the engineering practices, including how coding agents write and review code under human review.
    • Interlinked was one of 150 companies picked worldwide to pitch at Startup Grind's global conference in Silicon Valley in April 2026.
  2. CognixAI

    AI engineer intern

    Dec 2024 to May 2025 · Sydney

I built AI tools that write and publish personalised content across social platforms.

    • Built a content platform on Hugging Face models and third-party text, video, and audio APIs. It cut a posting workflow from four hours to thirty minutes.
    • Connected LinkedIn, X, and Bing News to suggest trending topics as they happened.
    • Prototyped models that learn a client's writing style, and cut processing time by 25% by reworking the Python pipeline and its API calls.
  3. INDOSS at UWA

    Treasurer, executive team

    Feb 2024 to Dec 2024 · Perth

I ran the finances for a student society of more than 350 members and led a team of 40.

    • Raised over AUD 4,000 in sponsorship and tripled the society's cash reserves.
    • Ran events for more than 450 people that brought in record revenue.
  4. Bayswater Mazda

    Software accounting intern

    Nov 2020 to Feb 2021

I digitised more than 15,000 tax invoices, then automated the filing.

    • Wrote a tool that filed more than 5,000 documents automatically and saved about ten working days a month.
